the best news

We all love hearing good news and there's something in us that makes us want to share that news when we hear it. The Christian message is that Jesus is not just good news but the best news we could ever hear - news for everyone! Here at Oakhall we're committed to sharing this good news with those around.

As you explore this good news, we hope you encounter a Jesus that: challenges our assumptions, blows our expectations and offers us more than we could possibly imagine!

'The beginning of the good news about Jesus...'

Mark 1v1

God's heart is one of power, purity, goodness and love...

"The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger,

abounding in love"  - Psalm 103:8

...but the wrongness and guilt in our hearts separate us from Him.

"all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God"

Romans 3:23

God came here in Jesus to deal with our sin by dying as a sacrifice;

punished in our place.

"Christ died for the ungodly... while we were still sinners,

Christ died for us"  - Romans 5:6-8

God calls us to turn around and to trust in Jesus' death for us.

This is when the relationship we were created for begins...

"Yet to all who received him [Jesus], to those who believed in his name,

he gave the right to become children of God" - John 1:12
